December 2024 Market Report 

Farewell to 2024!

- The drop in listings and sales for December are not a cause for concern but expected as people prepared for the holidays. And with that said there was still a slight increase in the Avg. Sale Price.

- Although there was a decline in the number of units sold, 3 of the top 5 styles of homes saw an increase in their Avg. Sale Price with 1.5 sty homes up by +10.84% followed by Ranches +10.84% and Bungalows +2.85%.

- Bank of Canada lowered the policy rate yet again by a shocking 0.50%, now sitting at 3.50% and the Prime Rate at 5.45%. Just in time for the holidays and for the many needing to renew their mortgages.

- Whether its politics, industry or infrastructure news (to name a few) combined with upcoming market news, 2025 is shaping up to be a stronger year.
