Windsor/Essex County: Record Growth During Global Decline?

Charting Unprecedented Times:

There’s no question, we are navigating through unprecedented times both nationally in Canada as well as worldwide. The prevalence of financial uncertainty has reached a level that is bringing immense strain to the general population and corporations which has forced tough decisions, layoffs and even closures in some sectors. Record inflation, rising interest rates, possible change in the dominant currency of USD, political battles, threats of viruses and war are all topics that surround each and every one of us on any news feed and channel.

HOWEVER, that being said, is it possible that a small area within Canada can somehow position itself to manage record breaking growth in both economy and quality of living?

• August had a continued downward trend in new listings and a slight dip in sales, expected as families were traveling before the end of summer.
• Monthly Avg. Sales price is up when compared to July. This can be linked to the increase in 2 sty and ranch-style homes which carry stronger valuations.
• With the fall season around the corner and the recent BofC rate hold (Sept 6/23), it should be no surprise to see an increase in market activity by late September.
